The Commercial Association of REALTORS^® New Mexico embodies the best of Commercial Real Estate in New Mexico.  It provides a way for Commercial Real Estate professionals to work together for the common good while transforming shared beliefs and hopes into action.  It gives shape to our boldest dreams, highest ideals and noblest causes.  We are a membership of over 500 commercial real estate professionals throughout the state of New Mexico.

It is a privilege to serve as the 2024 President of the Commercial Association of Realtors New Mexico. I’ve learned by serving on this board of directors for many years, that this particular group of business people (CARNM staff and  Membership base), is looked upon in great admiration by others around the country.

That high regard is certainly due to the vision, hard work, and commitment it took to get this organization up and running by its original founders, but also due to the past and current members, our sponsors, our business community and all of those that have dedicated their time and money to making our industry better.

The countless hours given by our incredible CARNM staff and Commercial Realtors in our organization, to keep CARNM growing, relevant, and adding value to our members year in and year out is evident and intentional.

Through CARNM’s efforts, we have been able to give back to our community, advocate for the business community, and directly impact and improve Commercial Real Estate around the state.

CARNM is THE Premier Source for Commercial Real Estate in New Mexico.

Our intention for 2024 is to ADD Value to your membership and this year will be a big year for CARNM. Let me share with you a little bit about our four priorities for 2024 which are TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, AND ADVOCACY.

1. Technology – YOUR CIE platform is our #1 priority for 2024. We have partnered with an incredible development team in ReSimplify, to build a Listing & Broker centric platform that is specifically built for you, our CARNM members. We are building this software with a long-term vision in mind for our members. This is an investment for our future. The infrastructure of this software will prove to make it dynamic. From the launch date forward, this platform will continually have improvements and features added at no cost to CARNM members for the life of the software and for the life of our agreement with ReSimplify. We are extremely excited about the future of our CIE.
2. Education – CARNM will continue its dedication to providing commercially relevant course subject matter to ensure licensees are able to obtain their continuing education within their field of expertise and maximize commercial course content and availability through CARNM.

We will work to make sure our course content will be available and applies directly to your licensing cycle whenever possible. I am thrilled with the direction our Education committee has taken; and this is a true value add opportunity for CARNM and our membership.

3. Community Outreach – We will continue our consumer outreach, our charitable efforts, as well as our continued work with Economic Development Corporations throughout New Mexico.
4. Advocacy & Legislation – CARNM has made significant progress in this area in recent years. We will continue with our efforts in the REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC), and the Real Estate Community Political Action Committee (RECPAC).  Finally, we will continue to make our voice known for political matters that impact our Real Estate and Business community throughout New Mexico. Our voice will be heard.

As our organization grows, we continue to want you, our members and our sponsors, to know that your numerous volunteer hours are the lifeblood of our organization and they make a tremendous impact on our community. CARNM values and appreciates your contributions and we welcome your continued service in the coming year.
