PREREQUISITES FOR REALTOR® MEMBERSHIP
- Applicants must hold an active New Mexico Real Estate or Appraisal License.
- Must have no record of official sanctions involving unprofessional conduct.
- Must be a Qualifying Broker or affiliated with an office whose Qualifying Broker is also a CARNM member.
Please Note: If you choose to join CARNM, your office is then classified as a REALTOR® office and all licensees affiliated with your office must join CARNM to be in compliance.
About CARNM
CARNM is a statewide Association of REALTORS® and real estate affiliates who specialize in retail, office, multi-housing, industrial and vacant land with commercial real estate serving as the cornerstone of economic development. CARNM offers a statewide commercial listing service, CARNM CIE, the premier choice for commercial real estate in New Mexico. The Association brings together commercial real estate professionals for the enhancement of ideas and projects in marketing, education, government affairs, and professional standards, “all to benefit the commercial REALTOR®.” Members work with leaders in the business community and local, state, and national governments to foster economic growth and to promote legislation to benefit the industry.

Membership dues are prorated monthly. Additional new member and/or new office fees may apply. Please see steps to join below.

REALTORS® who join CARNM as a Primary Member are not current members of another association and pay national, state, and local dues to CARNM. The CIE subscription is to be joined in addition to our Primary membership.

Secondary Member
REALTORS® who join CARNM as a Secondary Member are members of another association and only pay local dues to CARNM. National and state dues are paid through another REALTOR® association. The CIE subscription is to be joined in addition to our Secondary membership.

CARNM CIE Subscription
Subscribers of the CARNM CIE have access to the commercial listing service. This system is different from a MLS. This subscription is in addition to our Primary or Secondary membership.

The Adjunct Non-Member category represents a licensee working in an administrative capacity (i.e. does not engage in the sale, lease, etc. of real estate property and/or does not receive or share in commissioned compensation).

Salesperson
The Salesperson Non-Member category represents a licensee working in an agent capacity (i.e. engages in the sale, lease, etc. of real estate property and/or receives or shares in commissioned compensation).

CIE Admin
The CIE Administrative Assistant category allows administrative assistants to have an individual login to access the CIE to help input or update listings for all brokers in that office.

New Member Orientation
New Members are required to complete mandatory orientation requirements for membership, which may include the following:
