SANTA FE Commercial Development — An old motel in Santa Fe got a face lift and its doors officially open Tuesday. But it’s what the building has become that has the city excited.
The Stagecoach Motor Inn was abandoned for years, but not anymore. It has been remodeled and turned into a 60 unit housing facility for families, the homeless and people with special needs.
The newly remodeled facility offers community gardens, play areas for kids, a fitness center and walking paths.
The project received funding from different organizations, including a $10 million equity investment by UnitedHealth Group.
The grand opening is Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 3 p.m. on 3360 Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe.
